Mushrooms in Arc Raiders don't look exciting at first, but you'll feel the pinch once Scrappy starts asking for them and your stash is empty. They sit in that awkward space between food, upgrade material, and route-planning problem. If you're already tracking ARC Raiders Items for crafting or projects, mushrooms deserve their own little mental note, because random wandering is a slow way to get them.
The cleanest farming rule is simple: if Lush Bloom is active, stop overthinking the map and hunt wicker baskets. Those baskets can show up across maps and may hand over several mushrooms at once, which beats staring at tree trunks for ten minutes. Outside that event, Dam Battlegrounds is still the safer bet for natural farming. Spaceport has one great pickup, but it's more of a quick hit than a full route.
Where to look first.- Dam Battlegrounds: swamp, Hydroponic Dome Complex, Water Treatment pipes, and nearby damp corridors
- Spaceport: the wooded spot south of Little Hangar, close to the Raider Hatch
- Blue Gate: only worth checking if you're already near basement-style routes or baskets are active
- Buried City: treat it as a Lush Bloom basket map, not a natural mushroom farm
Dam Battlegrounds works because the good spots are close enough to chain together without crossing the whole map. The swamp has the best reputation for density, while the Hydroponic Dome can produce mushrooms around water, inside buildings, and near the dome structures. The catch is obvious: people go there. If you're solo and under-geared, Water Treatment can feel better. Check the pipes and damp interiors, grab what you can, then use a nearby exit instead of getting greedy.
Spaceport is different. You're really looking for the tree south of Little Hangar. It's easy to spot once you know the shape, and players often describe it as the most reliable single mushroom location on the map. That also means it can be contested. If you spawn close, go straight there. If you spawn miles away, don't play hero. Extract, re-queue, and save the time. The weaker trench-style plant area near East Container Yard can be checked, but it shouldn't be the reason you pick Spaceport.
The biggest mistake is staying in a raid after the nearby mushrooms are gone. They don't pop back up during the same match, so a "full clear" usually just turns into noise, PvP, and wasted minutes. Use humidity cues instead: swamps, pipes, basements, hydroponics, dead trees with fake-looking growth, and a white pickup near the base. Keep Scrappy fed, keep a small stock for later project demands, and if you're comparing time against trading or stocking routes for cheap ARC Raiders Items elsewhere, remember that fast extracts usually beat long scenic tours.
